Amanda Zeilinger

is a digital photographer from Cleveland, OH, living and working in Philadelphia, PA.

Amanda's thoughts come in bullet points, and her photographs in series. She's inspired by the layering processes of screen printing and collage, and the motion of dancers on a stage. While showing the passage of time in her photographs, she asks if long- or multiple-exposures are more realistic because they hold more moments than a single quick shutter release. With her extreme cropping and negative space in images, she hopes to show the relationship between humans and our environment in a most minimal way, while still telling a story. Amanda is influenced by the work of Alma Haser, Ellen Crane, and Cubist paintings.
